Upstream Bio posts corporate presentation highlighting verekitug Phase 3 plans in severe asthma, CRSwNP
UPB•COPD study enrollment completed
Upstream Bio said enrollment has been completed in the Phase 2 VENTURE study in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, with data expected in the second half of 2027.
The company said existing capital is expected to fund operations through 2027.
Phase 2 data in severe asthma and CRSwNP
Upstream Bio said Phase 2 severe asthma data showed a 56% reduction in annualized asthma exacerbation rate versus placebo (p<0.0003), a 122 mL improvement in FEV1, a 20.4 ppb reduction in FeNO and a 0.21 reduction in ACQ-6.
In CRSwNP, the company reported a nasal polyp score reduction of -1.8 (p<0.0001), a nasal congestion score reduction of -0.8 (p=0.0003), and 76% lower surgery or steroid need (p=0.03).
Corporate presentation outlines Phase 3 plans for verekitug
Upstream Bio outlined plans to meet with the FDA in mid-2026, with Phase 3 starts in severe asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
The company’s pipeline centers on verekitug, a TSLP receptor antagonist, positioned for a single quarterly at-home injection using an autoinjector.
