Van Lanschot Kempen taps Aegon Asset Management as alternative fixed income partner

AEG•Van Lanschot Kempen agreed to take over Aegon Asset Management’s Dutch fiduciary management business, covering about EUR 26 billion in assets, while Aegon becomes its alternative fixed income partner. The transfer is expected in Q3 2027 and would lift Van Lanschot Kempen’s fiduciary assets to EUR 124 billion.
Van Lanschot Kempen agreed to take over Aegon Asset Management’s Dutch fiduciary management business, which covers about EUR 26 billion in assets. Aegon Asset Management will advise on Van Lanschot Kempen’s AFIS fund-of-funds as a strategic partner for alternative fixed income.
The transfer is expected to become effective in Q3 2027, lifting Van Lanschot Kempen’s fiduciary assets to EUR 124 billion. Around 30 Aegon Asset Management staff in the Netherlands are expected to move as part of the transaction, with the client transition expected to run in phases through mid-2028.
