A federal judge approved Paramount’s settlement with 12 state attorneys general, clearing the way for its $81 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery. Mattel CEO Ynon Kreiz is set to become co-CEO of the combined company once the deal closes. Hormel Foods said it would buy Brakebush Brothers for $1.06 billion, while Walgreens-owner Sycamore Partners is close to a deal to sell Boots to the Weston family for about $9 billion.

OpenAI President Greg Brockman told employees he would not make a pledged $25 million donation to pro-AI political group Leading the Future. Industry leaders, including Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, questioned Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei about his warnings on AI dangers at a White House event.
