VIAVI Unveils Observer Threat Forensics With Retrospective Analysis To Meet 79% NetSecOps Demand

VIAVVIAV

VIAVI Solutions has introduced Observer Threat Forensics with advanced retrospective analysis to unify packet, flow and log data across network, application and user domains. The platform addresses critical gaps in NetSecOps by consolidating performance monitoring and real-time threat intelligence, enabling post-detection breach analysis, root-cause identification and unified security workflow.

1. New Observer Threat Forensics Launch

VIAVI Solutions introduced Observer Threat Forensics, a unified NetSecOps platform combining packet insights, flow data and log telemetry. The solution features advanced retrospective analysis to trace intrusion points, exposed data and performance issues across network, application and user domains.

2. NetSecOps Convergence Need and Survey

A recent VIAVI survey found 79 percent of 750 CIOs and CISOs favor converged network and security operations to close visibility gaps. Only 27 percent have begun the transition, highlighting resistance despite known risks from siloed models.

3. Integration With CrowdStrike Intelligence

Observer Threat Forensics embeds CrowdStrike real-time adversary intelligence into deep network visibility, enabling teams to quickly investigate incidents and assess impact. The collaboration uses existing network traffic and metadata for seamless NetOps and SecOps workflows.

4. RSA Conference Demonstration

VIAVI plans live demos of Observer Threat Forensics at RSA Conference in San Francisco from March 23-26 at booth N5484. Presentations by product leaders will showcase pre-deployment validation, live forensics and performance testing across the NetSecOps lifecycle.
