VMAR•Vision Marine Technologies has activated its connected E-Motion™ data platform to gather real-world performance and usage data across deployed high-voltage electric powertrains. The platform enables predictive maintenance, precise technician diagnostics, warranty traceability and paves the way for future over-the-air software updates and recurring service revenue opportunities.
1. Activation of Connected Data Platform
Vision Marine has deployed its E-Motion™ telematics infrastructure to collect system performance, diagnostic and usage data across its high-voltage electric powertrains. The activation supports technician diagnostics, warranty traceability and customer usage analytics by streaming real-world operating metrics to Vision Marine’s E-Motion™ data platform.
2. Enhancing Maintenance and Service
The platform enables predictive maintenance triggers based on usage patterns such as lower-unit service intervals and system checks identified through real-time data. This capability aims to boost service efficiency, strengthen warranty validation and cultivate recurring service revenue through the Nautical Ventures network.
3. Roadmap for Software-Defined Updates
Vision Marine plans to integrate over-the-air update functionality to deploy software refinements and calibrations post-sale. The software-defined architecture is designed to evolve E-Motion™ systems over time, supporting broader electric boating adoption and long-term customer engagement.
