AAIC 2026 presentation on Phase 2 CELIA results
Biogen published an AAIC 2026 medical research presentation outlining Phase 2 CELIA results for tau-targeting diranersen in early Alzheimer’s disease.
- The primary endpoint missed; the prespecified dose-response on CDR-SB at Week 76 was not met.
- Low-dose 60 mg Q24W showed a 0.54-point, 26% CDR-SB difference versus placebo at Week 76; cognitive measures favored treatment, including 50% on MMSE.
- Biomarkers favored diranersen, including tau PET and CSF total tau reductions; ARIA was not observed in CELIA.
