BMO Q3 FY26 net income drops 25% to C$1.75 billion year over year; revenue rises 10.1% to C$9.9 billion

BMO posted Q3 2026 net income of CAD 1.75 billion, down 25% year over year; diluted EPS fell 24% to CAD 2.38.
Results were hit by a CAD 962 million after-tax charge tied to reduced goodwill on the planned sale of its Transportation and Vendor Finance units.
Adjusted (non-GAAP) net income rose 19% to CAD 2.86 billion; adjusted diluted EPS increased 22% to CAD 3.96.
Reported ROE narrowed 3.2 percentage points to 8.4%; CET1 ratio eased 0.5 percentage points to 13%.
Provision for credit losses declined to CAD 722 million from a year earlier; quarterly common dividend held at CAD 1.71 a share.
