GoldMining CEO Alastair Still Named President as Pereira Targets Brazil Projects

GOLDGOLD

GoldMining Inc. has appointed CEO Alastair Still as President, effective January 1, 2026, following the resignation of Paulo Pereira, who shifts to the role of Country Manager for Brazil. Pereira will oversee exploration at the São Jorge Project in Pará State, which recently completed the largest drilling program in company history.

1. Leadership Realignment at GoldMining Inc.

Effective January 1, 2026, GoldMining Inc. has realigned its senior management team with CEO Alastair Still taking on the additional title of President. This move follows the resignation of long-time executive Paulo Pereira from the President’s office. Mr. Still, who has led the company since 2022, now consolidates strategic and operational oversight as both Chief Executive Officer and President, reporting directly to the board of directors and positioning the company for streamlined decision-making during its next phase of asset development.

2. Strategic Focus on Brazilian Assets

Paulo Pereira transitions to the newly created role of Country Manager, Brazil, tasked with accelerating exploration and development at the company’s Brazilian portfolio. He will oversee the recently completed record-sized drill and geophysical program at the São Jorge Project in Pará State—the largest such campaign in GoldMining’s history—aimed at expanding the project’s mineral footprint across the emerging Tapajós gold district. Pereira’s intimate familiarity with local regulatory regimes and community relations is expected to drive faster permitting and stakeholder engagement.

3. Diversified Portfolio and Capital Allocation

GoldMining controls a diversified suite of resource-stage gold and gold-copper projects across Canada, the U.S., Brazil, Colombia and Peru. The company also holds strategic equity stakes in related public issuers, including approximately 21.5 million shares of Gold Royalty Corp., 9.9 million shares of U.S. GoldMining Inc. and 19.1 million shares of NevGold Corp. Management’s reshuffle underscores a broader capital allocation strategy: directing management bandwidth toward high-potential, near-term brownfield opportunities in Brazil while leveraging partner royalties and minority holdings to fund ongoing exploration elsewhere.
