PowerBank Brings 7.01 MW SB-14 Solar Project Online Under $41M EPC Deal
PBK•PowerBank completed commercial operation of the 7.01 MW SB-14 community solar project under a $41 million EPC deal with Honeywell, capable of powering 875 homes annually. It is the second of three installations in the 21 MW DC portfolio, boosting managed capacity to 14.02 MW and securing ongoing O&M revenue.
1. Commercial Operation Achieved
PowerBank announced that the 7.01 MW DC (5 MW AC) SB-14 ground-mount community solar facility in upstate New York has reached commercial operation, delivering clean energy capable of powering approximately 875 homes per year under the NYSERDA NY-Sun Program.
2. Portfolio Progress and Capacity
SB-14 is the second of three community solar projects developed under the Honeywell agreement, bringing total operational portfolio capacity to 14.02 MW DC. The third project remains under construction, aiming to complete the full 21 MW DC pipeline.
3. Financial and Contract Details
The project was delivered under a $41 million engineering, procurement, and construction agreement with Honeywell, following PowerBank’s sale of the assets in September 2023. PowerBank retains the operations and maintenance contract, ensuring continued service revenues.
4. Strategic Positioning and Pipeline
With over 100 MW completed and a development pipeline exceeding 1 GW, PowerBank strengthens its position in community solar and on-site power generation for commercial, industrial, and AI infrastructure clients, leveraging brownfield sites for rapid deployment.
