Scotts Miracle-Gro moved to buy the Black Kow soil amendment brand, exercising a purchase option under a January licensing deal.
Closing is expected in October; financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal expands Scotts’ growing media and soil amendment portfolio, adding organic amendments, mature manure, and specialty soils alongside Miracle-Gro products.
Management expects the acquisition to be accretive to EPS in year one, supporting leverage targets and its fiscal 2027-2029 growth plan.
