SU Group Wins Six AI-Powered UVSS for Huanggang Port Handling 200,000 Daily Trips
SUGP•SU Group secured supply and installation of six AI-powered Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems for Huanggang Port, a 24/7 Hong Kong–Shenzhen crossing handling 200,000–300,000 daily passenger trips and 15,000 vehicles. The project cuts vehicle clearance time from 30 minutes to about 5 minutes and supports the port’s July 1 opening.
1. Contract Award and Scope
SU Group was awarded the supply and installation of six integrated Under Vehicle Surveillance Systems for the new Huanggang Port, a major 24/7 border facility connecting Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The deal covers six lanes and inspection points, each scanning every vehicle under regulatory requirements.
2. AI-Enabled System Technology
The UVSS employs AI-powered image processing to compensate for uneven vehicle speeds, reducing distortion and delivering high-resolution undercarriage images for security operators. This enhancement supports clearer, more consistent inspections without slowing traffic flow.
3. Port Capacity and Efficiency Gains
Huanggang Port is designed to handle approximately 200,000 to 300,000 daily passenger trips and 15,000 vehicles, with clearance times reduced from about 30 minutes to 5 minutes. The facility features 134 automated e-channels and 68 manual counters, and is slated to open on July 1.
4. Strategic Growth Outlook
SU Group views this reference project as a validation of its capabilities in high-security infrastructure and plans to leverage the win to pursue further opportunities at ports, border checkpoints, logistics hubs and transportation facilities.
