Telesat announced the appointment of Ralph (Cody) Kittle to its Board of Directors, succeeding Michael Targoff, who served nearly 19 years. The appointment follows a nomination by MHR Fund Management LLC.
Kittle is founder and CEO of RenWave Kore, overseeing more than $1.5 billion in assets under management. He previously held a portfolio management role at Elliott Management and currently chairs the Audit Committee at Freddie Mac.
Michael Targoff joined Telesat’s board in 2007 and played a key role in guiding the company’s strategic and financial decisions. His departure marks the end of the longest continuous tenure among current directors.
Kittle’s investment management expertise and audit leadership are expected to strengthen financial governance and risk oversight at Telesat. This board refresh reflects growing shareholder engagement and may influence future capital allocation and growth strategies.
