Uber Raises Delivery Hero Stake to 19.5% in €270m Prosus Deal
Uber raised its equity stake in Delivery Hero to 19.5%, exercising options to hold an extra 5.6% and becoming the Germany-based group's largest shareholder. The company acquired a 4.5% Prosus stake for €270m and Delivery Hero co-founder Niklas Östberg will step down by March 2027.

Uber has increased its shareholding in Delivery Hero to 19.5%, plus an additional 5.6% held through option instruments, making it the food-delivery group's largest shareholder.
2. Prosus Transaction Details
The additional stake includes the acquisition of a 4.5% share previously held by Prosus for €270m, fulfilling commitments Prosus made to the European Commission in relation to its Just Eat Takeaway.com acquisition.
3. Leadership Change and Outlook
Delivery Hero co-founder and CEO Niklas Östberg will step down by March 2027, with the supervisory board aiming to name his successor by year-end, while the company focuses on operational performance and long-term value creation.
