Volkswagen presented its entry-level Electric Urban Car Family at the Paris Motor Show, reporting nearly 150,000 customer orders before deliveries begin. The program includes a EUR 10 billion investment in Spain and more than 80% parts commonality across the model family.

Volkswagen presented its Electric Urban Car Family lineup for the first time at the Paris Motor Show. Nearly 150,000 customer orders were reported for the small-car EV program before deliveries begin. Hatchbacks, including the ID. Polo, are set for production in Martorell, while electric SUVs, including the ID. Cross, will be produced in Pamplona. The group is targeting scale benefits through shared MEB+ underpinnings, with more than 80% parts commonality, as part of a EUR 10 billion investment program in Spain tied to EV and battery manufacturing.
