Vor Biopharma rises after positive autoimmune drug data
VOR•Vor Biopharma said more than 94% of patients treated with experimental drug telitacicept had at least a five-point symptom improvement after 48 weeks in a late-stage study. About 42% achieved minimal symptoms at some point over 48 weeks, up from 23.7% during the first 24 weeks.
1. Trial results
The results came from a post hoc analysis of a 114-patient trial conducted in China by Vor Biopharma’s partner RemeGen. Vor said more than 94% of patients with generalized myasthenia gravis treated with telitacicept showed at least a five-point improvement on a symptom measure after 48 weeks.
2. Drug approvals
Telitacicept is already approved in China for five autoimmune diseases, including generalized myasthenia gravis, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. Generalized myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune disorder that disrupts communication between nerves and skeletal muscles, causing fluctuating muscle weakness.
