XPeng Launches AlipayHK EV Payments for 1,600 Chargers, Eyes Southeast Asia Expansion
XPeng rolled out an in-app AlipayHK payment system in Hong Kong covering Cornerstone Technologies stations and 1,600 public chargers through a new Antom partnership. The deal underpins expansion into Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia after January deliveries hit 20,011 units and the P7+ model reached 36 markets.
1. In-App Payment System Launch
XPeng partnered with Antom on February 9 to embed an AlipayHK payment feature into its EV mobile app in Hong Kong, enabling drivers to initiate and pay for charging at Cornerstone Technologies and about 1,600 public stations directly through the XPeng interface.
2. Southeast Asia Expansion Plans
The collaboration paves the way for rollout of the in-app payment solution in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, positioning XPeng to leverage Ant International’s user base to drive traffic to its branded charging network across key Southeast Asian markets.
3. January Deliveries and P7+ Rollout
On February 1, XPeng delivered 20,011 vehicles in January and launched the P7+ model across 36 countries, demonstrating growing production capacity and global product adoption following its Brussels Motor Show showcase.
4. Global Footprint and Emissions Impact
By end-2025, XPeng operated in 60 countries with 380 retail stores and over 1,000 outlets; the company projects its January deliveries alone will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 300,000 tons, equivalent to absorption by 5 million tree seedlings over 10 years.
