1. Retirement targets rise
HSBC research published October 21 found affluent investors’ average retirement target was $1.26 million, up 20% from a year earlier. The findings were based on a survey of 9,993 affluent and high-net-worth investors across 10 markets.
2. Plans become more flexible
The survey found 77% expected to leave work gradually or flexibly rather than stop altogether, and 71% were preparing for a non-linear future spanning multiple life stages. Some 82% wanted wealth solutions covering multiple needs, while 75% sought expert support for non-linear lives.
