Bel Fuse will operate through two new end-market business units—Aerospace, Defense & Rugged Solutions (generating $369M or 55% of 2025 sales) and Industrial Technology & Data Solutions ($307M, 45% of 2025 sales)—to sharpen market focus and drive innovation. Steve Dawson and Tom Smelker have been appointed presidents of the respective units.

Bel has transitioned from a product-centric to an end-market-centric organization, aligning resources and expertise with key sectors to deliver holistic solutions. The strategic realignment is designed to accelerate innovation, sharpen market focus and strengthen customer relationships across its portfolio.
2. Business Unit Composition
The Aerospace, Defense & Rugged Solutions unit combines previous Connectivity Solutions and Enercon operations, representing approximately $369M or 55% of 2025 sales, and targets aerospace, defense, space, oil and gas, outdoor broadcasting, agriculture and other rugged environments. The Industrial Technology & Data Solutions unit integrates Power Solutions with Protection and Magnetic Solutions for industrial, medical, semiconductor, transportation and data applications, generating $307M or 45% of 2025 sales.
3. Leadership Appointments
Steve Dawson, former President of Power Solutions and Protection, has been named EVP & President of Industrial Technology & Data Solutions following a track record of operational efficiency and profitability improvements. Tom Smelker, with experience managing a $400M+ P&L at Mercury Systems and expertise in ruggedized computing and secure microelectronics, becomes EVP & President of Aerospace, Defense & Rugged Solutions.
